During this four – day workshop you will be taken on a journey of self-exploration. You will be introduced to the age – old practice of yoga and its ability to balance the body and mind. You will be acquainted with meditation and pranayama which will assist you in maintaining your equipoise even in the most trying of situations.
Besides delving into inner exploration, you will also have the opportunity to sample local experiences, traditions and customs in and around Knysna.
Sandwiched between the towering Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, Knysna is known as the ‘Garden of Eden’. It is surrounded by world-renowned forests, lovely lagoons and pristine beaches. Visitors can look forward to an array of markets offering delicious food and organic locally-made goods, explore the town’s picturesque waterfront and quaint streets, adventure through the lush forest, skip over streams and catch a glimpse of the multicoloured Knysna Loerie, take a ferry trip to the famed Knysna Heads and sample the local oysters. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of exciting activities including: surfing, swimming, yachting, jet skiing, boating, fishing, and golfing.

During this four day workshop you will be taken on a journey
of self-exploration. You will be introduced to the ancient art of yoga and its ability to balance the body and mind. You will be introduced to meditation and pranayama as a way to quiet the mind, and get in touch with your inner stillness. This will assist you to remain calm and peaceful amidst the hustle and stress of everyday life.
Besides focusing on your own well-being and growth, you
will also be taken on tours to sample local experiences, traditions and customs, local markets and a hike in the Knysna forests

UNFOLDING OF THE DAY
Greet the day with an energizing yoga session on the banks of the Goukamma River and the Knysna Forest as a backdrop. After you are revitalised and refreshed we will enjoy breakfast and have time for various activities until lunch time.
After a light healthy lunch we will have some time to relax and enjoy the facilities at BWRL. In the late afternoon we will meet for a yoga and pranayama workshop that will focus on the foundations of the Asana’s.
Take some time to explore your surroundings before we meet up for dinner. It will be a shared occasion where we can reflect on the learning of the day and the tranquil environment.
